Was born on March 24, 2973 in Tauranga, New Zealand. His talent has since become legendary in the enduro. Merriman won four international titles: the 250 2-strokes in 2000, the 400 4-strokes in 2001, the 250 2-strokes in 2003, and the 250 4-strokes in 2004.
Also memorable are his twin victories in the Six Days of the Enduro. In Spain, in the 2000 reserved to the 4-strokes 400’s and repeated in Poland in 2004 in the E2 category.
In 2005, he placed 2nd in the World E2 while finishing 3rd in 2006. In 2007, he will race atop an Aprilia RXV 4.5 in the E2 class.
