Was born on August 10, 1978 in Namur, Belgium. Melotte truly immersed himself in the maxi-cylinders of this discipline immediately, quite unlike other riders.
The 3rd place overall in the 2003 worlds (in the then 650 class) was the best result of the Belgian’s career (with two international grand prix’s already under his belt). Last year, he closed out the World MX1 Championship in 11th place.
